We had the privilege of hosting visitors from Waliranji who are actively working to support kindergartens. The exposure visit was thoughtfully arranged to help teachers and school management gain hands-on experience in practical permaculture for schools.

The event, facilitated by Top Fans Permaculture Network Malawi, aimed to equip educators with sustainable farming techniques that can be integrated into early childhood education. The visiting team explored innovative methods for school gardening, soil conservation, and water management—essential skills that promote environmental stewardship while enhancing food security for young learners.

Participants had the opportunity to engage in interactive sessions on composting, organic gardening, and agroforestry, all tailored to meet the needs of schools. The visitors expressed enthusiasm and appreciation for the knowledge gained, emphasizing how permaculture principles could be applied to improve school nutrition programs and create greener learning environments.

This visit marks a significant step toward empowering teachers and school administrators with the tools to foster self-sufficiency and resilience within their institutions. We look forward to continued collaboration in promoting sustainable education through permaculture!
