Today, the Permaculture Network Malawi team conducted a monitoring visit to the farmers of the Chiliza community in Lilongwe. These farmers previously underwent permaculture training and received a starter pack of seeds and seedlings to help them establish homestead food forests. The results are truly phenomenal!
Many farmers are already harvesting bananas, papayas, and passion fruits as they wait for their long-term crops to mature. This progress is a testament to the power of sustainable farming practices and the dedication of local farmers in implementing what they have learned.
This initiative is being implemented in partnership with Live Love Malawi, and our commitment goes beyond just training. We ensure continuous support by conducting follow-ups and providing onsite technical assistance to help farmers apply their knowledge effectively.
